Factors Influencing Distance Learner's Intention to Use SMS-Learning in the Universiti Sains Malaysia This research is expected to introduce mobile
learning offering merely SMS text messages (SMS-learning) as an extension into
the existing learning mechanisms in Universiti Sains Malaysia as it may comply
with the university effort in supporting the "bottom billion".
Therefore, it is imperative to ascertain the learner's acceptance toward
SMS-learning in order inculcate its use in their studies because the learner's
perceptions in SMS-learning may provide some information related to the factors
in the use of SMS-learning. Hence, the primary reason of this study is to
understand the acceptance of mobile learning via SMS and to identify the
factors influencing their intention towards using the system.
